Good drywall repair in Toronto depends on matching the method to the damage. Nail holes and shallow dents need only a fill and sand. A doorknob-sized hole gets a backed patch so the compound has something solid behind it. Anything larger is cut back to a clean square, given wood or metal backing or opened to the nearest studs, fitted with a new piece, taped, and built up in thin coats feathered well past the edges so no hump shows under raking light.
Joint compound needs drying time between coats. For bigger repairs we use setting-type compound where it suits, so more can be finished in one visit, but a large wall or ceiling section may still need a short return for the final coat and sanding.
Water-stained ceilings come last in the sequence: the leak above has to be stopped and the board confirmed dry and sound. Soft or sagging drywall is replaced, not painted over, and the repair is sealed with a stain-blocking primer so the mark does not bleed back through.
As a guide, one or two small patches fit the 1-hour tier, several patches or a texture match fit 2 hours, and a ceiling section or a larger cut-out fits the 3-hour block.
