Most handymen spent 5 years learning a few trades. We've spent 15+ years building entire homes — and now we bring that depth to every leaky faucet and squeaky floorboard.
BuildMan was founded in Toronto in 2008 as a full-service custom home builder. For over 15 years we built homes from foundation to finishing trim, ran general contracting on multi-million-dollar renovations, and earned a reputation across York Region and the GTA for quality work and straight talk.
Then we kept getting the same call from happy clients: "My faucet's leaking — can your guys come fix it?" Most handymen are jacks of all trades, masters of none. Our clients didn't want a generalist. They wanted a builder who could just fix it right the first time.
So in 2024 we launched BuildMan Handyman: same crew, same standards, scaled down to small-job pricing. Same-day. Flat rate. Clean, fast, and good — the way we'd do it in our own homes.
Diagnose the real issue, not the symptom. Use the right materials, the right method, the right way — every single time, even on the smallest job.
If we have to come back to redo something, that's on us — no charge, no excuses. We back our workmanship because we believe in it.
Flat-rate pricing, no markup on materials, written quotes for project work. You always know what you're paying — before we lift a tool.
When someone's working in your home, you should know who they are and what backs their work.

The same standards whether it's a one-hour faucet swap or a second-storey addition.
Request a quote online or call (905) 660-9992. During business hours (Mon–Sat, 8 AM–6 PM) we confirm a time within 60 minutes — same-day or next-day for most handyman jobs.
Handyman jobs are flat-rate: $150 for one hour, $280 for two, $410 for three, with no trip charge. Renovations get a single fixed-price quote after a free in-home consult.
Parts and materials are billed at supplier cost with the receipt — and we confirm them with you before buying anything.
Our technicians come from a home-building company, so they find the real cause, use the correct anchors and methods for your walls, and tell you plainly when a job needs a licensed electrician, plumber or gas fitter.
For project work we file the building, plumbing and electrical permits and book and pass the inspections. You never have to deal with the city yourself.
Every handyman job carries a 1-year workmanship guarantee. If something we did isn't right, we come back and fix it at no charge.
