By BuildMan · TV & wall mounting from $150 flat
Mounting a TV looks like a 20-minute job — until you're holding a 65-inch screen, unsure whether the wall will hold it. In Toronto, professional TV mounting typically runs $75 to $150 for a standard install, or a flat fee. BuildMan mounts most single TVs inside our 1-hour $150 flat rate, including basic cable tidy-up.
What a professional TV mount includes
- Finding the studs (or the correct anchor for plaster, brick or concrete)
- A mount rated for your TV's size and weight — supplied or yours installed
- The TV levelled and set at a comfortable viewing height
- Basic cable management so cords are tidied or hidden
- A quick test that everything's solid and working
What changes the price
- TV size. Screens over ~56″ often need a second technician, which moves the job into the 2-hour tier.
- Wall type. Drywall with studs is quick; plaster, brick and especially concrete condo walls take longer and need special anchors.
- Cable concealment. A surface raceway is fast; running cables inside the wall (in-wall kit) adds time.
- Full-motion mounts take a little longer to set up than fixed mounts.
Why not just DIY?
The risk with a DIY mount isn't the money — it's the TV (and the wall). Anchoring into the wrong spot, or using anchors that aren't rated for the weight, is how expensive screens end up on the floor. A pro finds the structure, uses the right hardware, and gets it dead level the first time. If you want to understand what's behind your drywall first, resources like This Old House are a good primer.
The bottom line
For a standard TV up to ~55″ on a drywall wall, expect around $150 with BuildMan — level, anchored into studs, cables tidied. Larger screens, concrete walls or full in-wall cable runs move into the 2-hour ($255) rate, which we'll confirm before we start. Booking a TV mount alongside furniture assembly or a few other jobs is the best value.

How much does it cost to mount a 65-inch TV in Toronto?
A large TV usually needs two technicians for safe lifting, so it typically falls into the 2-hour ($255) flat rate, including cable management. We confirm before starting.
Do you hide the cables in the wall?
On a standard drywall wall, yes — we can run an in-wall cable kit so nothing shows. On brick or concrete we use a low-profile raceway painted to match.
Do you supply the mount?
We can bring a quality tilting or full-motion mount sized to your TV (added at cost), or install one you already have.
